Statement on Covid-19 Safety and the 2021 Tamiami International Orchid Festival

• Safety is our top priority as we try to get back to the things we enjoyed before the emergence of covid-19 as a global pandemic.
• We have taken the following steps to insure a safe environment for all participants and attendees.
• • The festival takes place in a new outdoor venue with lots of space for attendees to spread out.
• • We request that all attendees and participants be vaccinated.
• • We request that anyone who feels ill stay at home.
• • Temperature checks will be taken at the gates by nurses. Persons with elevated temperatures will be asked to visit another time and will have tickets refunded.
• • Attendees must remain on the outside of tents and shop from the exterior of the tents.
• We ask that all attendees remain masked in any space in which they are directly in contact with others. This is not a political statement, and if you do not believe it is medically necessary, please just consider it an old fashioned small conservative gesture of politeness to others.
• As we all know, going out in public before the pandemic is entirely under control raises your chances of exposure however slightly. Attend at your own risk.
• With these measures in place and the data that suggests that outdoor transmission of coronavirus is very unlikely and your cooperation with the above, we believe this event will be a safe and enjoyable event for all.
