Q: Is there a map of the event? How about a list of vendors?
A: Yes, and the map and vendor list can be downloaded from the Vendors page. The map can be displayed on a mobile device or tablet, or printed. Please download and print or save the map!
Q: How much does it cost to attend?
A: Admission is $10 for adults for a single day ticket, or $16 for a two day ticket. Two day tickets can only be purchased in advance, they are not sold at the door. Cash only at the door. Children under 12 are free.
Q: If I order tickets in advance, how do I receive them?
A: You must print or display your ticket on your phone at the door. There are two doors at the front of the hall. Pre-sale ticket purchases go to the left door, if you are buying a ticket at the door, you stick to the right.
Q: What else should I bring?
A: Bringing cash is highly recommended as many growers are foreign and do not accept credit cards. If you did not buy your tickets in advance you will need cash at the door as well. ATMs are available, but they charge fees and are limited to $100 per transaction.
Q: I have a promo or I am volunteering. How do I get in?
A: Promotional coupons are redeemed the same way as advance tickets, go to the left door. Volunteers will have e-tickets mailed to them in advance and redeem them at the left door.
Q: Can I use a promotional code at the gate?
A: No. If you have a print discount coupon, you may use that. Promo codes may only be applied online.
Q: I thought I wanted a day pass, now I want a weekend pass. What can I do?
A: You can pay $6 at the door and you will be upgraded to a weekend pass.
Q: I decided not to come. Can I get a refund?
A: Sorry, all ticket sales are final.

A: Easy! No standing in line. And you can pay by credit card. Ticket purchases are cash only at the door.

A: The Tamiami International Orchid Festival is Miami’s largest, most diverse orchid show, paralleled only by the Redland International Orchid Festival in May. Over the past twelve years, the Tamiami International Orchid Festival has not only become a great Miami orchid show, but a nationally and internationally recognized orchid event. In fact, the 2016 Tamiami International will be the largest winter orchid show in the United States.

A: The Orchid Festival features the widest selection of affordable and rare orchids available anywhere to admire and purchase. See the schedule of free classes for your chance to learn about the world of orchids. And be sure to enter your entrance ticket into the free raffle for over FIFTY beautiful orchids.
Q: I’m coming from out of town. Where can I stay?
A: Comfort Suites is conveniently located five minutes away. Ask for the orchid expo rate. The Best Western at 8560 SW 124th Avenue Kendall, FL 33183-4600 is offering an excellent rate. You can book online by clicking here or call 305/271-4848 and ask for the “Orchid Show” rate. The Best Western also is running a shuttle to the Festival in the morning and evening. Inquire with the front desk for the times.
The Fair Expo can also provide parking for recreational vehicles for only $50 per night. This includes full water, sewage and electrical hook ups. The site is fenced with night time security. If you wish to bring a RV, please contact the Fair directly at (305) 223-7060. If the above options are booked, Priceline and Hotels.com may be your best bet. The La Quinta at NW 36th Street has good reviews from visitors.
Q: Great. How do I get around? And what is there to see in Miami?
Unfortunately, Miami still does not have good public transportation and is a vast, sprawling city. We recommend Uber. If you’ve never used it, you can use this link to get your first ride free. Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden is a great destination for plant lovers. Of course, Miami Beach is the destination for many out of towners, but natives often get their nightlife and eats in Coral Gables, Wynwood, and South Miami. Miami has become a world class city and visitors have many options.
Q: I’m coming from out of town. How can I ship my plants?
There is a UPS store within a mile of the Festival. The UPS Store, 1421 Southwest 107th Avenue, Miami, FL 33174. However, it closes at 4pm on Saturday. There is also a 24 hour FedEx Print and Ship location at 2417 Ponce De Leon Blvd, Miami, FL 33134 a few miles away.
Q: I want to take plants to another country. Will USDA be on site to provide CITES documents?
A: Yes. USDA will be on site on Saturday from 1 to 5pm at the front of the hall (map location 70). Motes Orchids and other growers will have CITES documentation available for a modest fee, which includes defraying the cost of having USDA onsite. (Expect to pay about $110 for documentation, which should be valid for most plants purchased at the show, subject to confirmation by USDA onsite.)
Q: I grow orchids commercially. How can I display and sell my plants at the Festival? I have an orchid related product. How can I participate?
A: The Committee accepts applications to the the Orchid Festival year round through the Contact page.

Q: I love animals. Can I bring them to the Festival?
A: No. We love animals too, but the venue only allows service animals.
Q: I want to get lunch. Can I leave and come back?
A: Yes. Same day re-entry is permitted with a hand stamp. If you want to enter the next day, you need to buy another ticket or buy a two day ticket in advance.
Q: Hmmm. What about food at the Orchid Festival?
A: There are two concessions serving excellent Cuban coffee. They also serve a limited selection of sandwiches.
